Artist in residence

In today’s world the management of arts and culture becomes more and more complex. The Conservatory, academy of music, no longer has the exclusivity of the formation just as the concert hall, the theater and the museum have lost their exclusivity in offering art. Each artistic sector looks for a wider public and experiments different systems and operability. In the case of the “artist in residence” used by many concert organizers, there is a contract based upon a project with a particular artist chosen for its fame or through a concourse, or for his or her ability to interact with the territory, or just for the wish to sustain or reward an artist. The Trento Filarmonica is using this method since 2015, at first with “La Piccola Orchestra Lumière” (which contributed with a lot of interaction to the Filarmonica’s concert program) then with the young Italian pianist Filippo Gorini who concentrated mostly on his formation.

The third triennium will be Daniel Roscia’s. Again a young Italian artist, a clarinetist with whom the Filarmonica wants to dialogue with the territory rich in wind instrument players, students, teachers and amateurs. His energy and his experience matured in many European countries will be available to the public with a series of concerts which call first range artists on the stage. The activities connected to the residential artist will be available on this page.
